NewMuma & MoveMuma Sessions
*You must have been for your 6-8 week check-up with your health care provider and have been given the all clear to participate in exercise prior to your first session.
*We run our sessions in blocks, which are scheduled in line with the school terms, therefore there are 4 blocks of training per year.
*We run trial weeks at the commencement of each block, and encourage all new clients to trial a session during this time period.
*If we have spots available once a term has already started, you are welcome to come and trial a class for $15.00 and then sign up for the remainder of the block. However spaces are limited in our classes and once we are booked we are booked.
*Following your trial session, if you would like to continue to come along, a commitment to the rest of the current block is required. Not only this, but it is the best way to get into regular routines, guarantee your space in a session and help you commit to regular exercise sessions.
*We recommend that you begin training with us twice per week as we know that you will see better results this way, however, consistency is the key and 1 session per week consistently attended is also welcomed.
*MumaBubs requires upfront payment each block of sessions (or for remaining sessions in the block) for your place in a session to be confirmed
*Sessions cancelled with more than 12 hours notice may be made up later within the current block and providing there is space within other sessions. If sessions are not made up by the end of a block they will be forfeited.
*Sessions cancelled with less than 12 hours notice will be forfeited.
*If you cannot make your session due to being delayed at work, illness or social commitments we ask you to let us know as soon possible so we can be sure of group sizes.
*As stated above, our cancellation policy asks for 12 hours notice, which will result in you being able to catch up that session later in the week or block of training, availability permitting in other sessions.
*In the case of a serious injury / illness that prevents you training for more than 2 weeks, please contact us to discuss further options. A doctors certificate will be required to receive a refund (minus the sessions you have already attended), or alternatively, the remainder of your sessions can be transferred to the following term.
*We do not offer refunds simply for a change of mind. However, we are opening to discussing any reasons for you wishing to cease your training, and will always be open to providing a credit for future training with us
*We will train rain or shine. Sessions will only be cancelled if the weather conditions put you and your child(ren) at risk or the trainer is sick, and is unable to provide you and your child(ren) with the high quality session that you expect and will not put you and your child(ren) at risk of illness.
*Should a session be cancelled due to extreme weather circumstances or any other reason, it is your responsibility to book in a make-up session within the same block of sessions.
*If the trainer has to cancel or reschedule the session, you will be provided with the remainder of that block of sessions to make-up the session.
*If you become pregnant or injure yourself, you may also put your sessions on hold. Please speak to Jody if one of these situations arises.
*All sessions must be booked on our PTminder online booking system and we encourage you to stick to the same sessions per week for the majority of the time.
*You can choose either our childcare option or pay for your sessions without childcare, however there is a block commitment expected for both options.
*If you choose not to pay for childcare regularly and you need to bring your child, you will need to check the night before your session that we have space for your child and an additional $6 fee will be charged on the morning of your session. In this instance we will do our best to accommodate your child but cannot guarantee a spot will be available.
*If you require childcare for more than one child, there will be an additional $6 fee per child per session. If this is a regular scenario you will need to choose this option for your upfront payment.
*If you require childcare for more than one child as a one off, you will need to check the night before your session as to whether we have space for your other child and an additional $6 fee will be charged on the morning of your session. We will do our best to accommodate your additional child but cannot guarantee it will be available.
*We train no more than 50m away from where our babies are being looked after. If your child is particularly unsettled and you want to check on them you should do so. We are very relaxed about you attending to, settling, breast and bottle feeding your children. We encourage you to do whatever is within your comfort zone. All children cry from time-to-time so if you are happy, enjoy your time out.
*We also have some children and babies that are more comfortable or go through phases of wanting to be around mum, even during a session. Although we like to offer our nanny service so you get some time out we welcome your little one to join us if it’s no problem to you.
*If your child is particularly unsettled, our nannies may ask you to come over and see to them. Babies and young children can often ‘set each other off’ therefore removing one from the group for a short period of time is often helpful.
*You may also be asked to attend to your child for any necessary nappy changes.
*If you have chosen not to use our nanny service, we ask that your children do not disrupt the experience of other mums during the session. We encourage the children to join in with you, or sit or play quietly either near you or close to the group during the session.
*Sessions will start on time – please ensure you arrive 5-10 minutes before that start of your session to settle your child and begin your warm up with everyone else. The start of our session is highly important in warming up and tuning into your core and postural system. If you arrive late you will be asked to warm up, stretch and perform some core and postural exercises prior to joining us.
*We recommend all participants consult with a Womens Health Physiotherapist, either prior to commencing the program, or within the first 6 weeks. This will be discussed with you at your time of enquiry, and we can recommend Women’s Health Physiotherapists in Perth
*If you have any pelvic floor weakness (leaking, dragging, urgency, etc), abdominal separation, pelvic instability or pain, sciatica or back pain OR your baby is less than 6 months old and you have not been exercising (walking not included as exercise in this instance), we highly recommend that you attend the NewMuma sessions OR a one-on-one session with one of our Women’s Health Physiotherapists either before or within the first few weeks of your MumaBubs training sessions commencing.
